HIA building, the renovation fair returns to inspire Novocastrians

The HIA Building & Renovation Show will showcase the best of the home, lifestyle and construction industry this weekend.

After a two-year COVID break, more than 100 exhibitors are expected to return to HIA Home Inspirations in Mayfield West on Saturday, September 10 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

And, with plenty of additional attractions on display, those looking to build or renovate in the near future are sure to be inspired, according to Hunter executive director Craig Jennion.

“The HIA Building & Renovation Show brings together a sensational group of attendees to highlight the latest trends in renovation, construction, home improvement and outdoor living,” he said.

All entrants will also have the opportunity to enter the grand prize draw, drawn the same day, to win a $20,000 bathroom renovation package courtesy of Banana Bathrooms.

The event also includes product demonstrations.

For visitors looking for advice, the HIA Ask an Expert space will offer free consultations with key HIA members, including building designers, kitchen and bathroom remodelers.

“You just need to make an appointment at the show, but don’t forget to bring your plans, a notebook and your ideas,” Jennion said.

“In addition to this, attendees will be able to visit the Hunter Alfresco Living exhibit to see the latest products and trends designed specifically for outdoor living.

“The show has always been a family event and this one is no different.

“There will be lots of free entertainment for the kids including Ruby the Clown, face painting and a special appearance by Bob the Builder.”

Other features include seminars and demonstrations by exhibitors and color consultants throughout the day, compliments of Bristol and pop-up lifestyle markets.

“With the diversity of exhibitors and experts available, people can compare products and services from a huge range under one roof,” Mr. Jennion said.

“We hope Saturday’s show will attract locals and visitors alike, with something for everyone.

“All your food and drink needs will be covered by a charity barbecue and a fresh coffee van on site.

“If you are considering starting a project, or are in the middle of a project and need advice on how to proceed, the HIA Home Inspirations Center continues to be the go-to destination for Hunter remodelers, home buyers of new houses and traders.”
