Frank Marinello Obituary (2021) – Lake George, NY


Marinello, Frank G. LAKE GEORGE Frank G. Marinello, 80 from Lighthouse Point, Florida and Lake George, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. His beloved wife of 48 years, JoAnn, was by her next door to their home in Florida. Frank was born in Mechanicville and raised by his parents, Geneviève and Frank, as well as his sister Lydia. Frank served our country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He had a strong love for family. He and JoAnn have organized many family vacations to their homes in Lake George and Clifton Park. Frank had a knack for property and real estate. His talent helped the Newtown Road Church acquire property and build a larger center of worship. Frank and JoAnn loved Lake George, they met there in 1972. They built, rehabilitated and owned many houses during their life together, you could say Frank was the first pinball machine in the house! He and JoAnn have trained and built several kitchen design showrooms, Saratoga Custom Kitchens and Jomar Kitchens. Upon retirement, they would spend the winter in Florida and the summer in Lake George. He was the beloved son of the late Geneviève and Frank Marinello; and brother of Lydia Marinello Grace (Paul). Frank is survived by his wife JoAnn (Verrillo); and the “brothers” Edward and Joseph (Sunday) Verrillo. He was predeceased by his stepmother and stepfather, Mary and Edward Verrillo. He was the uncle of Paulette (Jimmy) and Stephen (Debbie); and great-uncle of Heather (Eric), Brienne, Jeremy, Anthony, Vincent and his canine nephews, Django and Zorro. Frank has remained close to his childhood friend Andy Palmieri. They shared the love of cars and Italian food, especially pizza! Frank will be remembered by many for his continued friendship, support, and faith in God. The funeral will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Newtown Road Church, 142 Lower Newtown Road Waterford. Calling hours will be 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the church prior to the service. Interment will be held at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. immediately following the service.
