BOCA RATON, Fla .– As the Florida travel industry continues to rebound, a resort town in Boca Raton is hoping to take tourism to new heights.
The Boca Raton has just reopened after completing a $ 200 million renovation during the pandemic as more people choose South Florida as their vacation destination.
According to Visit Florida, in the third quarter of 2021, the state welcomed 32.5 million travelers, marking the first time the total number of visits exceeded pre-pandemic levels.

âI recently moved from New York,â said Erica Kasel, marketing director of The Boca Raton. âI can tell you there’s just an energy and a buzz right now about what’s going on in Boca Raton. It’s really changing.
Some of the changes include a complete renovation of the exterior facade of the complex in the original coastal white color.
The vision for Boca Raton was shaped by the founder and architect of the Addison Mizner hotel when the resort opened in 1926.
“We brought the exterior of the property back to the cream color it was in Mizner’s day, because he always mixed the sand from the beach with his plaster on the buildings and so it was a very natural coloring.” , said Daniel Hostettler, CEO of The Boca Raton. âThe property was painted pink in the mid-1950s and we really wanted to respect the original Mizner feel of the property.â
The Boca Raton is a private club, but the public is welcome to enjoy the amenities as a hotel guest or when booking a special event.
âWe worked closely with the Historical Society,â Hostettler said. âIn fact, they run a tour once a week. You can register through them and visit the property.
